About Bella's Bites

Bella’s Bites was born out of love for our beloved (now) 14-year-old fur baby, Bella. As she aged, we noticed she was becoming increasingly intolerant to many of the products on the market. After Bella was diagnosed with kidney failure, our vet recommended switching her to a strict science diet that would avoid any protein. But being a dog, of course, Bella still wanted chicken - one of her favourites!

We struggled to find anything in the stores that was simple, natural and free from the unnecessary additives that seemed to be everywhere. Almost nothing was just dehydrated meat without fillers or chemicals. That’s when we decided to take matters into our own hands. We started dehydrating our own treats, specifically designed to be gentle on Bella's sensitive system. These treats were free from the extra ingredients found in commercial products and most importantly, Bella loved them.

Although Bella’s health won’t improve, we found that our homemade treats helped to prolong her life, giving her a better quality of life during her golden years. Our family and friends started noticing how much Bella thrived on the treats and they began begging us to share them. It became clear that others were looking for the same wholesome, simple option for their pets.

That’s when we realised there was a gap in the market for natural dog treats that were simple and healthy. So, we decided to share our homemade recipe with other pet owners who wanted the same for their fur babies. Thus, Bella’s Bites was created - a small-batch business dedicated to providing dogs with nutritious, dehydrated treats made from wholesome ingredients, just like the ones we make for Bella.

At Bella's Bites, we believe that your pet deserves nothing less than the best. Through the personal adventures of our little one, Bella faced some health challenges that led us to finding that most of the market was overrun with treats that were jam packed with fillers or chemicals.
